This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Every single person I’ve encountered has been nothing short of incredible. Dr. Gilbert has been kind, patient, and understanding from day one. You can tell he is genuine and really cares about his patients and what he does. Making sure I am comfortable and allowing me to use my fidgets and weighted resources needed for my anxiety and sensory stimming. Vicky has been amazing and kind making sure I have everything I need and am set up with a movie for longer appointments. Cindy was incredibly sweet to me when I got my teeth cleaned and even let me use the kid products since I am not a fan of minty products. Vanessa has been so welcoming and helpful when I come in and makes sure I have an appointment at a time I am not working and very accommodating with allowing me to make payments. Dr. Almaz was able to help me with a dental emergency outside of work hours and was very calm and understanding. I have not met anyone else yet but the whole team is absolutely amazing. I no longer have to be terrified of going to the dentist. I could not recommend this place more! Best ever!

The hardest part of a dental procedure for me is the anesthetic, but he explained the step by step process which helped me lower my anxiety levels. During the procedure he allowed for breaks and checked how I was doing. He is extremely nice and values his patients. I totally recommend him to anyone (all ages) especially if you have anxiety like me!

M. CarotenutoIn today’s world, one hears about Dental Implants and all the horror stories associated with them. I have done a lot of reading about them on the internet and talking to friends. Bottom-line, it all starts with being under the care of a great dentist. And I found one with Dr. Elias C. Almaz, in Granite Bay.
I have been going to have my teeth taken care of for the past 64 years since age 18, when I joined the USAF. Many of dentist have looked and worked in my mouth. But the best has been Dr. Almaz and his team at Boardwalk Dentistry.
My recent single lower molar dental implant went so smoothly I had no idea it was ever installed. From the initial consultation with Dr. Almaz I knew exactly what to expect. He clearly explained the whole procedure. And when he installed the “implant post” it went so smoothly I did not even know when he was finished. Did not feel a thing.
It has been a month now since I had the final crown installed and that process was outstanding. He made the new crown fit so perfectly I do not know it is even there in my mouth. Excellent bite.
Here I am at 82 years old and able to now enjoy eating a steak and other meats. Should have had this done years ago. I am very fortunate to have found Dr. Almaz and his team.
I met with Dr. Gilbert for the first time May 28th. My initial impression was one of a very well run, professional office. My previous dentist retired and sold his practice where I remained for about a year until it seemed they were "making work" -- telling me I needed all sorts of crowns, etc.
Dr. Gilbert went over all my records with me (which I had had transferred) and I explained that I was a kind of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kind of person. He concurred and after a thorough exam he determined that no work was needed at this time, other than the usual cleaning.
I was very impressed with how I was treated by Dr. Gilbert and all the staff members with whom I had any contact. Everything that was said or done was explained to my complete satisfaction. I am very happy with my change in dentists.

Our family of five has relied upon Dr. Gilbert and his highly competent staff for over 12 years and we have always received outstanding care. They are concerned about each individual patient’s needs, they offer an exceptional experience from the time you enter. All your questions are answered honestly and sensitively. It’s small enough to be personal, yet large enough to provide options for appointments and high tech procedures. He cares about his patients and staff and it shows.
